Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo is a holiday in the United States to commemorate Mexican culture and heritage. In Mexico, it is mainly celebrated in the state of Puebla, where it is also known as the Battle of Puebla Day. The Battle of Puebla occurred 158 years ago on May 5, 1862 during the Franco-Mexican War. Some history on this battle from https://www.history.com/topics/holidays/cinco-de-mayo:

Certain that success would come swiftly, 6,000 French troops under General Charles Latrille de Lorencez set out to attack Puebla de Los Angeles, a small town in east-central Mexico. From his new headquarters in the north, Juárez rounded up a ragtag force of 2,000 loyal men—many of them either indigenous Mexicans or of mixed ancestry—and sent them to Puebla.

The vastly outnumbered and poorly supplied Mexicans, led by Texas-born General Ignacio Zaragoza, fortified the town and prepared for the French assault. On May 5, 1862, Lorencez gathered his army—supported by heavy artillery—before the city of Puebla and led an assault.

The battle lasted from daybreak to early evening, and when the French finally retreated they had lost nearly 500 soldiers. Fewer than 100 Mexicans had been killed in the clash.

Although not a major strategic win in the overall war against the French, Zaragoza’s success at the Battle of Puebla on May 5 represented a great symbolic victory for the Mexican government and bolstered the resistance movement. In 1867—thanks in part to military support and political pressure from the United States, which was finally in a position to aid its besieged neighbor after the end of the Civil War—France finally withdrew.

 

 

20200328 Day 88: World War C – Humans vs. Coronaviruses

Parallel Life Exploration (PLE) is one universe surfing technique that I use to help me understand what is going on in my own universe. Through PLE, I can get a fuller picture of my Quantum Self and also understand the Quantum Environment in which my Quantum Self is existing.

I am using the terms “Quantum Self” and “Quantum Environment” to refer to the Multiverse versions of “Self” and “Environment”. The Multiverse versions can be thought of as multidimensional and probabilistic. “Self” and “Environment” represent a single (classical) slice of their respective Multiverse versions.

Your Quantum Self is simultaneously existing in all of the possible universes that it could exist in without violating the (known and unknown) laws of physics. Similarly, the Quantum Environment is the superposition of all of the environments of these possible universes.

For example, this morning I had a brief feeling of a parallel world. I was watching a video that was attempting to encourage people to sacrifice more to fight the spread of this novel coronavirus that is infecting the entire population of the world. The video referenced war times and what past generations have had to suffer. It made a plea for people to just stay home and watch TV – how this was very little to ask compared to what has been asked in the past during war situations. It struct me that we are literally in a world war, World War C, with all of humanity against a 125 nm coronavirus. I then felt connected to the parallel world in which the world was at war but against each other – humans against humans – as has been in the past. I noticed the similar feelings of fear and helplessness that would exist in both universes. I noticed the similar loss of life that would occur in both universes. As a planet, we are beginning to resonate with the energy of a world war. US President Trump has been reluctant to use the Defense Production Act, but yesterday made a point to use it against General Motors for the making of additional ventilators which are in short supply. During times like now with high emotion, it is easier to Quantum Sense parallel realities. We are now in World War C.

2020 Day 5: “You are praying for my son, aren’t you?”

On the last day of the year 2019 I was eating in Whole Foods and struck up a conversation with a woman. We didn’t discuss politics, but we did discuss patriotism. During our conversation she shared that her son was being deployed to Baghdad soon. She saw the look in my eyes as I took a moment of silence and asked

“You are praying for my son, aren’t you?”

“Yes”, I said, with tears slowly streaming down my face.

I didn’t understand then why I felt so much emotion. With the drone strike of two days ago, I am beginning to understand the significance of her question and my tears.

So tonight I pray for those in command of the armies around the world to resonate with world peace and to make decisions consistent with pushing away the approaching universes filled with war.
